FriendBot is used to verify matches among Discord players. When players connect to a friend match on Wiimmfi, FriendBot ensures that all parties within the room match the players who queued up for the match. This ensures competitive integrity within a community-driven leaderboard. It also allows spectators watching on streaming services like Twitch to easily see who is in the match.
FriendBot uses this information to ensure ladder matches run smoothly and that queued players are accurately identified. Guild member access allows the bot to quickly match Discord users.
